Sang-e-yashm

In ancient Persia, a rare and unusual gemstone known as “sang-e-yashm” or “yashm” was highly prized for its supposed ability to protect the wearer from the “evil eye.” This stone, which is believed to be a type of agate or onyx, was often carved into intricate talismans or set into gold and silver jewelry. The Persians believed that the swirling patterns and colors of the yashm stone could confuse and disorient any evil spirits attempting to harm the wearer.
